Your Lie in April Review :
I'm really glad that I saw it. It is a beautiful anime, that expresses a lot of feelings most of us can't express in words. All emotions, whether happy or sad, have been expressed really beautifully. It was well written and produced, both the openings and endings were truly soothing and well displayed, beautiful voices! At first the whole image of the anime was iconoclastic, I was pretty lost being honest, but within a few minutes I began to adore the series' artwork. I'm pretty sure that's one of the ways this anime hooks the audience~BUT, the series' first opener "Hikaru Nara" by Goose House, was probably one of the things that kept the audience as well as myself so entertained. The characters are great and all, but the scheme of the plot (doesn't always unfold naturally) really serve to put them through their paces and allow them to grow as people and as the mature humans they are to be. I'm really glad this anime provides the following; Romance, Music, Drama (etc). I am going to be honest though, the first episode was sort of cringe because Kōsei Arima was listening to the opening of the anime...Overall it's truly a spectacular anime which could have done better in a lot of ways but was srill pretty enjoyable, defintely a chef's kiss for me and I recommend it to us who haven't watched it!.
